Sharon Linsker takes inspiration from paths along the Hudson River, the wooded trails of Westchester, and ventures abroad. Watercolor is the medium that best allows her to capture color and light in nature. The spirit of the landscape emerges as paint hits the paper and color mixes with color. Often the work is playful, verging on abstraction; sometimes it’s closer to realism.
A longtime resident of Northern Westchester, Sharon exhibits bi-annually with the Westchester Watercolor Group at the Main House Gallery in Somers, N.Y. Recent New York exhibitions include the Art Gallery of the Rockefeller State Park Preserve, Mamaroneck Artists Guild Gallery, and the OAC Steamer Firehouse Gallery.
