Inez Sieben

My art is influenced by the world around me. Images form as I sort through what I see and feel, during that in-between state before waking,  or as I listen to music or dance. Occasionally, when least expected, walking down the street, hiking in the woods, in conversation with a friend, I’m hit by an image I am compelled to capture. And I like to tell stories through my work.

I love experimenting with mixed media, using scraps of wood, images from catalogues, fabric fragments and other “stuff” lying around – I hate waste and filling up landfills – better it end up on a work of art. (Granted, it may still end up in the landfill!)

I am grateful for the opportunity to have studied art as a young adult in Strasbourg, France. Now I study under Eleanor Grace Miller, where I also learn much from my fellow artists.
