A Satisfying Souper Supper!

There were LOTS of happy faces, PLENTY of happy chatter, A LOT of laughter, and LOVELY music at Saturday’s 2024 Souper Supper! There were also lots of “oooohs” and “ahhhhhhs” as guests arrived and did their best to choose from over 80 ceramic bowls, locally-made by ceramic artists like OAC Members Keith Gordon and Robin Kline. With bowls in hand, guests chose seats and then surveyed their options for filling their bowls - from curried lentils and vegan minestrone to chicken, beef, or vegetarian chili and more. There was salad, beverages - wine, beer, and hot apple cider - and, of course, dessert! So many cakes, cookies, and sweets made for more tough choices, but the hardy supper guests did what they had to do. A few were seen to have several different kinds of dessert on their plates, always a sign of delicious enjoyment!

Among the guests were OAC members, Bethany artists, and local friends including our newest county legislator Emiljana Ulaj, the mayor of Croton-on-Hudson Brian Pugh, and our recently-retired state legislator, Sandy Galef. It was good to get a chance to meet them and for them to become more aware of OAC. Of course, everyone seemed VERY happy with the bowls they took home!

OAC thanks Keith Gordon, who worked hard to pull everything together - hats off to him and to other OAC members for their contributions. All that hard work made for a successful event! OAC and Bethany organizers are looking forward to doing it again next year. If you couldn’t get a ticket, keep an eye on your inbox and social media for the moment when 2025 tickets go on sale.
