Tamar Drucker

Tamar Drucker is a fiber artist.

She creates original work in fiber, fabric and thread pursuing the “art quilt” form. Tamar incorporates oil paint, lettering and ‘thread paint’ in her quilts, using commercial or hand dyed variety of fabrics. She often works from her own photographs. Her art is inspired by nature, Japanese motifs, and her own family history.

Tamar’s work has been recognized and received awards locally and internationally. She is a member of Northern Star Quilt Guild, Studio Art Quilt Associates, Fiber Art North East, Ossining Arts Council, the Israel Quilters Association, SDA, and TSGNY. She has exhibited in international shows in the UK, France, The Netherlands, Canada, Taiwan and Israel. In the US she has had her work featured in Houston, TX: New Hope, PA; Des Moines, IA; Gerald Ford Museum, MI, and the Tri-state region.

Today Tamar is retired from teaching Hebrew and Judaic studies in Westchester, devoting herself to her art form. She lives with her family in Ossining, NY.
