OAC Member Alan Haywood invites you to view Life’s Lens, his retrospective journey and celebration of his life’s work as a photographer at Bethany Arts Community, March 10 - April 8. Alan’s work powerfully captures the varying complexity and interconnectedness of light and shadow, finding beauty and strength in unexpected places. His art has been featured in the New York Times, Time Magazine, and cover art for several books and musical albums. This exhibit will highlight the breadth of Alan’s work, including landscapes, travelogs, portraits, musicians and abstract expressionism.

Alan’s work is guided by his passions, focusing on people, spaces and diverse forms of human expression. Life’s Lens is both a celebration of Alan’s work and his life, which has been miraculously extended for over 25 years after a heart transplant in 1997. The show is a testament to the power of community, art, and science, as much of the works would not have been created without the healing forces that have supported Alan’s second chance at life.
