Miriam Haas

I am interested in remembering people from the objects that surrounded them during their life. My portraits attempt to reveal the essence that I felt from them. I use a style of collage but in oil paint using materials for reference gleaned from photographs and memorabilia. In a certain way the portraits are biographies of the person.
