Art for the River Exhibition and Benefit Auction
The Ossining Arts Council is thrilled to launch the Art for the River Exhibition and Benefit Auction. This unique event will feature artwork that reflects the beauty and ecological significance of the Hudson River and its valley. The show will take place from November 9 - 24, 2024, at Ossining Riverworks, and online, with an Artist Reception to be held at the venue on November 9th and a ticketed auction on November 15th.
The OAC seeks up to two entries from professional, amateur, and student visual artists who are current Ossining Arts Council members to be juried for acceptance. See below for membership benefits and information. Jurors Jim Christensen and Eleanor Kwei are longtime Hudson Valley residents and artists. Jim, an avid photographer, has led the Croton Council on the Arts since xxxx. Eleanor is is a pen & ink artist who has worked as a graphic designer in the publishing industry for the past three decades. She worked as the colorist for the Winnie the Pooh stories and poems for E.P. Dutton, and later, linework artist for Disney’s Classic Pooh. Since 2017, Eleanor has curated various Lower Hudson region art events, with a specific focus on Climate change-related exhibits.

PHYSICAL WORK DROP-OFF: November 4th and 5th, 5-7 PM

ARTIST RECEPTION: Saturday, November 9th, 4:00 - 6:00 PM
BENEFIT AUCTION EVENT: Friday, November 15th, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
EXHIBITION CLOSE: Sunday, November 24th
ARTWORK PICK-UP: November 26th and December 2nd, 10 AM - 5 PM
