Allison Midgley
Allison Midgley is an Ossining resident and an artist, teacher and trainer. Allison received her Bachelor of Arts in Art and Education from the University of Dallas in Irving, TX. In addition to participating in a variety of print editioning projects, in 2010 she was privileged to participate in the installation of Sol LeWitt’s Wall Drawing # 1268: Scribbles: Staircase (AKAG) at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, NY. Recent exhibitions include the June Featured Artist at the Greenwood Lake Public Library, Time/Shapes/Lines (2022) and Moments: Before/During/After (2016) at the Briarcliff Manor Public Library, and A Round Now In a Square Time collaborative show with Sheila Kalkbrenner at the David A. Howe Public Library in Wellsville, NY (2013),
Allison is in her second term on the Ossining Arts Council Board of Directors. She currently develops and supports library staff professional development in digital literacy, existing and emerging technologies, and innovation and maker programs in her role at the Westchester Library System.
Her drawings, photos, mixed media work and combinations of traditional and emerging technologies, use light, color, texture, layers, and humor to explore themes of time, perspective, uniqueness, and belonging.
